Bone Grafting

Bone Grafting

When a tooth is lost, many times the bone that was supporting that tooth resorbes, or dissapears. This can lead to esthetic problems if it is visable, and in all areas of the mouth it can lead to restorative problems.

If you will want to restore the missing tooth with a bridge or an implant, there might not be enough bone left!

In our office, when we extract a tooth, we almost invariably place synthetic bone in the extraction socket. We do this because it fits in with our practice philosophy - we are always planning to restore and maintain your mouth in optimum health - and not just fix problems as they occur.
